One team. One beat. One goal.

TimeTeller began with a simple yet radical question:
What if medicine truly took the natural rhythm of the human body seriously?

For Angela Relógio, this question was not a thought experiment, but the starting point of many years of research at Charité. She investigated how our internal clock regulates genes — and how profoundly circadian rhythms influence when diseases develop and when therapies are effective. One insight became increasingly clear: time is a critical and largely underestimated factor in medicine.

This insight gave rise to TimeTeller, with the ambition of translating chronobiological knowledge from the laboratory into everyday medical practice and research. Supported by funding programmes from Charité — Inventors for Health (I4H) — and the Berlin Institute of Health — Digital Health Accelerator (DHA) — a scientific idea became a tangible medical tool.

With Benjamin Dose, a second perspective was added: regulatory expertise, strategic vision, and the determination not just to think innovation, but to make it possible. Together, they founded TimeTeller in 2023 as a spin-off from Charité.

Their goal: a form of medicine that works at the right moment — more effective, better tolerated, and closer to people, in tune with the body’s internal clock.

The TimeTeller DNA

Our purpose

We harness the power of circadian biology to redefine health.
We study biological rhythms and translate this knowledge into innovative diagnostics that personalise medical treatments in time and deliver measurable improvements. In doing so, we empower people and healthcare professionals to use the body’s internal clock for better prevention, more effective therapies, and a healthier, longer life.

Our Mission

We make circadian health measurable and actionable. Through easy-to-use, scientifically sound diagnostics, we enable personalised recommendations for the optimal timing of sleep, nutrition, physical activity and medical treatment — with the aim of sustainably improving health and preventing disease.

Our Vision

We aim to establish circadian health as a new standard in prevention and healthcare. By 2030, we want to empower millions of people to live in harmony with their internal clock, improve health outcomes and prevent disease at an early stage — by deliberately using time as a medical factor.

Innovation with impact

We challenge the status quo and transform science into solutions that improve lives. We share our knowledge openly and transparently.

Responsibility & sustainability

We think long term, ethically, responsibly and with environmental awareness.

Scientific excellence

The highest standards in research, products and care. Reliable. Evidence-based. Effective.

Sharing knowledge. Empowering people.

We make complex science understandable and usable, enabling better, personalised decisions.

Learning & adapting

We remain curious, adaptable and open to learning, always with people at the centre.

Integrity & trust

Transparency and ethics form the foundation of everything we do.

Patients at the centre

Empathy guides every decision. Health is personal.

Stronger together

Diversity, open communication and collaboration without rigid hierarchies are the foundation of our best ideas.

Driven by challenges

Complexity motivates us. We stay the course, push boundaries and create real progress.
